In December 1968, IIT Madras conducted a three-week course in ‘High-Vacuum Technology’ with assistance from the Technical Physics Division of the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Trombay. At the end of the course, on 21st December, 1968, a valedictory function was held during which certificates were distributed and speeches were given. The valedictory address was given by Dr. H. N.
