Inaugurations , Institute Events , Visiting VIPs
As the NCC flag proudly flies high, the audience tunes in to listen to Major General Virendra Singh’s (Director-General, NCC) speech. The NCC flag was designed to represent the inter-service character of the corps. The tri-colour flag represents the Army, Navy and the Air Force. The colours corresponding to the three are red, deep blue and light blue respectively. The existing flag was introduced in 1954.
The opening ceremony of the new NCC building took place on 14 December 1965. The event has been recorded in the Annual Number of IIT Madras, 1965-66 with a couple of photographs and brief descriptions describing the photographs.
