Gupta, two gentlemen (yet to be identified), chief guest Sardar Ujjal Singh (Governor of Madras), Sardarni Sant Sev Ujjal Singh, Workshop Superintendent Mr. S. S. Mani (Warden), Mr. Y. S. Ramaswamy (Superintending Engineer) and Mr. T. N. Venkataraman (Chief Security Officer). The Governor and his wife looked around Alakananda Hostel after the inauguration. This picture shows them in the dining hall.
