Visiting VIPs

When Heuss visited, IIT Madras had its office at CLRI and classrooms at A.C. Tech.

Heuss was the former President of the Federal Republic of Germany. His term as President ended in 1959, around a year before he visited IIT Madras. Seen in the photograph, from left: a gentleman likely to be Heuss' translator, H. E. Theodor Heuss, Prof. W.
