Graduands take their pledge on the day of the 20th Convocation in 1983

A pledge was taken by graduands during the convocation. The sign board towards the left side of the photograph indicates that the front section of the audience was reserved for prize winners. The Annual Report of IIT Madras, 1983, has recorded the various prizes that were awarded during the 20th Convocation.
